Coroner identifies pedestrian killed following Lexington County collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the pedestrian killed after a Lexington County collision, says the coroner’s office.
According to Coroner Fisher, Steven Ezell Christopher, 51, of Lexington was walking westbound when a vehicle traveling westbound left the right side of the roadway and hit him.
The 800 block of Old Cherokee Road collision happened on Saturday, Feb. 24.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the collision and returned on Sunday morning to report the collision, say officials.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, and South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT are continuing to investigate the incident.
