Local Living: Cottontown Art Crawl, Broadway in Columbia, jazz festival, oyster roast

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–  In today’s look at Local Living, the 6th annual Cottontown Art Crawl kicks off next month.

Nearly 200 artists will showcase their work in the historic neighborhood of downtown Columbia.

The event takes place on Saturday, March 9 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free.

 

Tickets are on sale now for the next show in the ‘Broadway in Columbia’ series.

Hamilton will take the stage on this Tuesday through March 10 over at the Koger Center,

Showtimes vary and tickets are available online but limited.

 

Newberry College is hosting a jazz festival this weekend. You can enjoy world class artists and music on March 1 and March 2.

The weekend will include two all-state jazz ensembles, and performances by a record 76 middle and high school jazz bands from across South Carolina.

The event is free to the public.

 

There will be an oyster roast hosted by the Atrium and the Calvary Societies of Prisma Health Midlands Foundation. There will be oysters, barbecue, live music and more.

It will be held at the Grovewood Plantation on Saturday, March 2, from 4 p.m. 7 p.m. Tickets are available online.
