Netflix wants you to stop paying with Apple Pay

(CNN)– Netflix is no longer allowing some members to pay through Apple’s app store.

The streaming platform stopped accepting Apple payments for new and rejoining customers in 2018.

But now many users who were grandfathered in have to switch.

Members may be prompted to update their payment plan.

If a new method isn’t added before their subscription renews they could lose access to their account until a new payment is added.

The change affects Netflix’s basic plan in the U.S. and Canada.
