Local Living: Spurs Up Sprint, Broadway in Columbia, St.Paw-tricks Day adoption special

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, You can join the USC Alumni Association for their “Spurs Up Sprint” 5k.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 8:30 a.m. in the morning. There will also be a kids fun run at 8 a.m.

You can either participate in person or through the virtual 5K. Registration costs $45 and all proceeds will go toward student scholarships.

If you are a fan of plays tickets are on sale now for the next show in the ‘Broadway in Columbia’ series.

Hamilton takes the stage through March 10, at the Koger Center. Show times vary and tickets are available online but limited.

A local animal shelter is getting in on the Saint Patrick’s fun. Starting today. Columbia Animal Services is hosting a St.Paw-tricks Day special.

You can adopt a pet for $17 now through Sunday March 17. You can check out the animals up for adoption at the Columbia Animal Services located at 127 Humane Lane.
