$1M bond set for SC preacher charged in assaults

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Bond has been set at more than $1 million for a 46-year-old Summerville pastor charged with sexually assaulting two women.

Dale Richardson appeared before a magistrate Wednesday after a second victim accused him of kidnapping and raping her. His bond had already been set at $525,000 after he was arrested on similar charges last week.

Richardson said little during the latest hearing as Charleston County Magistrate Linda Lombard doubled his bond.

Last week he told the magistrate he is pastor of Freedom Free Will Baptist Church in Ladson and also manages a construction company.
