Deputies seeking information after attempted kidnapping

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies are seeking information after someone attempted to grab a minor, said RCSD.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said the attempted kidnapping happened around 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, in the 200 block of Baysdale Drive.

The victim was not injured and was able to run away during the attempt.

Detectives said the individual who tried to kidnap the minor is described as a male with facial hair wearing all black.

Deputies are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood by calling 911.
