9/11 Events Planned for the Midlands

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Midlands will stand together on 9/11 to remember and honor those who lost their lives and those who fought to save lives on 9/11.

Here is a list of events in the Midlands on Sunday:

The Incarnation Lutheran Church is hosting a 9/11 Community Service and Remembrance  Sunday at 4pm at 3005 Devine Street. Highlights include a community choir

with representatives from several denominations, a handbell choir, and premiere musical selections. Many notable civic and political leaders will be in attendance. The service is open to all.

 

Evening of Remembrance 9/11

The honor of your presence is appreciated as we commemorate the sacrifice of our SC Midlands First Responders and Military Service Members at An Evening of Remembrance on Sept. 11, 2016, outside of the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln St. at 5 p.m

Chief Terrence Green invites members of public safety and the Town of Lexington community to the annual 9/11: Standing for Our Heroes ceremony.

The 9/11: Standing for Our Heroes ceremony will be on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 9:30 Sept11a.m. at the Lexington County 9/11 Memorial which is located at 205 East Main Street in Lexington.
