Local Living: Spring Carnival, Kinetic Derby Day, Pathways to Healing’s Walk A Mile In Our Shoes

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Meadowfield Elementary School is hosting its annual Spring Carnival this weekend.

There will be games, bounce houses, a petting zoo and food vendors.

It takes place this Saturday at noon.

Wristbands can be purchased in advance for $15 or $20 the day of the event.

 

The annual Kinetic Derby Day starts next Saturday, April 20.

It’s from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on State and Meeting Streets in West Columbia.

The event inspires creative thinking, competition and family fun as teams build unique vehicles.

Grab your best heels to walk for a good cause this month.

Pathways to Healing’s Walk A Mile In Our Shoes starts on Saturday, April 20, at 9:30 a.m. at the Statehouse.

Their goal is to raise 90 thousand dollars to help survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones.
