One man dead, two others injured after shooting in Newberry County

One man is dead and two others are injured after a shooting, according to the Newberry Police Department. 

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – One man is dead and two others are injured after a shooting, according to the Newberry Police Department.

On Saturday, April 20th at around 9 p.m., officers were called to Emory Street near Hunt Street. When officers arrived they found three victims with gunshot wounds. Investigators say one was taken to the hospital and the other was treated on the scene.

The third victim 53 year old Troy Leonard Sims died on the scene, according to the Newberry County Coroner’s Office.
