(WPDE) — The upcoming Myrtle Beach golf tournament is searching for volunteers to keep the greens spotless during the PGA TOUR event.
The Myrtle Beach Classic is inviting volunteers to join the Ecology Committee, where they will patrol the club on golf carts, emptying trash cans throughout the course.
Volunteers are needed for two daily shifts during tournament week, May 6 to 12. Shifts run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 to 7 p.m.
All committee members will have access to a climate-controlled tent where breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided.
Volunteers will be additionally given a Keep Myrtle Beach Beautiful T-shirt and hat, a parking pass, a volunteer credential for entry to all days of the tournament and the opportunity to purchase up to four daily grounds tickets at half price.
Participants must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Anyone interested in volunteering can register here.
