Richland Co. Deputies Investigating Apartment Shooting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Richland County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man at a Columbia-area apartment complex.
The sheriff’s department told local media outlets that the man was found unresponsive by a female acquaintance around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex southeast of Columbia.
Lt. Curtis Wilson says the man had been shot in the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner Gary Watts said Monday afternoon the victim was 60-year-old Sylvester R. Riley of Columbia.
No arrests have been made.
