Southwest Airlines celebrating 53rd birthday with $53 tickets

(CNN)– Southwest Airlines is celebrating its birthday with a special gift for thrifty travelers. The carrier has $53 airfares in honor of its 53rd year in operation.

The one way tickets include trips to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and some international locations. However this deal is only available on certain dates.

The $53 tickets have to be scheduled between Mondays and Thursdays or Saturdays between August 6th, and December 18th.

Travelers who want to snag a deal will have to act quickly, the limited time promotion ends just before midnight pacific time on Thursday, June 20.
