5 men accused of shooting at car, house Saturday night in Pelion
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Five men have been arrested and charged following a Saturday night shooting in Pelion, said the LCSD.
Austin Michael Easterling, 27, Brendon Charles Ray Parcell, 20, Garvin Lee Parcell III, 24, Damon Smith, 21, and Keeley Edward Smith, 23, are charged with four counts of first-degree assault and battery, discharging a firearm into a dwelling and criminal conspiracy, according to arrest warrants.
The men are accused of showing up to a home in the 400 block of Otis Road armed with handguns.
Detectives said some of the men opened a closed gate before walking toward the home while some of them stayed in a car.
“The victims were leaving the home in a car when the suspects started shooting at them and the home,” said Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon.
Investigators said one of the victims’ car hit one of the men and another victim shot back from inside the home.
“Everyone is very fortunate to have no serious injuries as no one was hit by the gunfire. Four of the suspects were arrested shortly after the shooting. Easterling was arrested Wednesday,” Sheriff Koon said.
The Parcells and Smiths have been released from the Lexington County Detention Center after meeting conditions of their bonds. Easterling is scheduled to appear before a magistrate in bond court on Thursday.
