COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Revenue’s (SCDOR) Batch Withholding Program has moved from GoAnywhere to MyDORWAY, says SCDOR.

SCDOR began only accepting Batch Withholding returns filed on MyDORWAY on June 17.

Anyone who has already filed their Batch Withholding tax returns does not need to submit a new application.

SCDOR says it will automatically update to your MyDORWAY account to include Batch Withholding Program access.

If you’re already filing Batch Withholding Tax returns, here’s what you need to know:

  • Existing Batch Withholding filers do not need to submit a new application. The SCDOR has automatically updated your MyDORWAY account to include Batch Withholding Program access.
  • Now that the program has transitioned to MyDORWAY, your entire Batch Withholding file will be rejected if it contains invalid FEINs or Withholding file numbers.
  • You’ll be required to submit a Batch WH Backup Report at the time you submit your Batch Withholding file.
  • After you’ve successfully submitted your Batch Withholding file, you will receive an immediate confirmation from MyDORWAY instead of waiting for an email confirmation.

If you’re responsible for filing Withholding returns, but not already participating in the Batch Withholding Program, here’s what you need to know:

  • The Batch Withholding Program is safe, secure, and available 24/7.
  • Batch filers submit one file for multiple clients or accounts, including both original and amended returns in the same file, which cuts down the amount of time it takes to file.
  • Also, because MyDORWAY automatically detects file errors, misfiled returns are reduced.
  • You must be registered with the SCDOR before you can apply to become a Batch Withholding Preparer.
  • In-state and out-of-state businesses or preparers can register using the SCDOR’s MyDORWAY Business Tax Application at dor.sc.gov/register.
