RCSD searches for a man accused in an attempted abduction

Richland County, SC (WOLO)– The Richland County Sheriff’s Department continues to search for a man accused of snatching a small child. According to a incident report obtained by ABC Columbia News. Thursday Richland deputies were called to the 1000 block of Farming Creek Road for a report of a child being taken from a woman before the suspect ran off into the woods.

While deputies were searching for the man and the child, the deputy says he heard something in the wooded area they were in, which is where he discovered the suspect. Officials say they were able to grab the child from the man, but not before he took pf running a second time. Authorities say the man remains at large tonight.
