Fewer people are buying grills
(CNN)– Not as many people will be firing up the grill this 4th of July holiday.
The grill business saw Hugh sales during the pandemic, but inflated meat prices are making consumers think twice.
People are still grilling, just not buying new ones.
According to the Hearth, Patio, and Barbecue Association, 80% of U.S. Homeowners owned a grill or smoker in 2023, up from 64% in 2019.
Experts say those grills will reach the end of their life cycle in 2025 and sales should pick up then.
