Magnetic chargers recalled for fire hazard

(CNN)– If you have a Baseus magnetic wireless charging power bank stop using it.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of roughly 132 thousand of them for safety related concerns.

Officials say the lithium-ion batteries in these power banks can overheat and pose a potential fire hazard.

Baseus says it’s received 171 reports of these incidents.

39 fires occurred, causing some injuries and roughly twenty thousand dollars in damage.

The power banks were sold online from April 2022 through April of this year.
