LCSD: West Columbia man charged with drug trafficking, distribution

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said deputies executed a search warrant at a West Columbia home for Shawn Lashiek Thompson in relation to an outstanding arrest warrant for distribution of cocaine.

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A West Columbia man was charged with two counts of manufacture and distribution of cocaine base, trafficking cocaine base and trafficking fentanyl, according to arrest warrants.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said deputies executed a search warrant at a West Columbia home for Shawn Lashiek Thompson in relation to an outstanding arrest warrant for distribution of cocaine.

“Inside the home, agents found 56 grams of pills containing fentanyl, 37 grams of cocaine base, four grams of cocaine and materials used for the manufacturing of cocaine,” Jay Koon remarked.

Thompson was arrested on June 26 at his home on Allendale Drive and he is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
