Garners Ferry Road Woman Dies Following Collison

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner has released the name of the woman who died on November 27th after the vehicle she was driving left the roadway and hit a tree nearly a week earlier.
Gary Watts identified the victim as 32-year-old Erica Wortham, of Garners Ferry Road.
The collision occurred on November 19th, shortly after 3:30 a.m. at 5050 Trotter Road Watts said.
An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to blunt trauma to the head and chest.
The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
