WATCH: Former Gamecocks, Panthers kick off training camp

Charlotte, NC (WOLO) — On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers kicked off training camp in Charlotte, NC.

The Carolina Panther’s roster currently features four former Gamecock football players in Jadeveon Clowney, Xavier Legette, Jaycee Horn, and DJ Wonnum.

ABC Columbia Sports Director Chaz Frazier caught up with Clowney and Horn who expressed their excitement for the fast approaching NFL  season. They also discussed what it means to share the gridiron with other former South Carolina football players.

The Panthers kick off their season in New Orleans battling the Saints on September 8.
