Sumter Police search for missing teen

Sumter, SC (WOLO) — The Sumter Police Department is hoping you have information that can help them locate a missing teenage girl who authorities say has not been seen since Tuesday morning.

According to Sumter Police the teen, 16 year old Xy’Meria Nelson was last seen by family members around 8 am, but was reported missing after she failed to return to her Broad Street home. Police describe Nelson as about 5’6″ feet tall, weighing roughly 220 pounds. Nelson has black hair which is currently braided and was last seen wearing black shorts, a black top and black shoes.
