Ark. Gov. Mike Beebe intends to grant pardons to 4
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe says he plans to pardon four people who were convicted on drug or theft charges.
Beebe spokesman Matt DeCample says all four have completed their jail time and parole-and-probationary requirements and paid all fines.
The four are James Vandy Cameron II of Rogers, Danny Cochran of Corning, Delbert Heath Hooker of Flippin, and Harry Pierce IV of Inman, S.C. for theft of property.
Cameron was convicted of conspiracy to deliver LSD, Cochran of possession and delivery of methamphetamine, Hooker for possession of meth and Pierce of theft of property.
Beebe rejected another 22 clemency requests and took no action on 39 others.
The public has 30 days to comment on the governor’s intent to pardon the four.
