Columbia Police Chief Resigns

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott is resigning from office effective May 1st.
Chief Scott made the announcement at a news conference Monday afternoon citing personal reasons stemming from what he calls Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Ruben Santiago will take over as interim chief upon Chief Scott’s resignation on May 1st.
Prior to Monday’s announcement, Chief Scott took a leave of absence that began on April 2nd.
