Columbia, S.C (WOLO) — Dozens are gathering Tuesday to remember the Orangeburg Massacre as SC State University holds it’s 49th annual commemoration ceremony Wednesday at 3 in the afternoon inside the Martin Luther King Jr. Auditorium. Dr. Millicent Brown is scheduled as the guest speaker for the events which will be followed by a candle lighting and wreath laying ceremony.

A group of South Carolina Democratic Senators are expected to layout a detailed plan of how they’d like to fix the State roads and highways. The News conference will take place at 11:30 Tuesday morning on the second floor of the State House.

Also taking place Tuesday morning, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster is scheduled to hold a public cabinet meeting to discuss the mission priorities, successes and future challenges facing the agency.
