Mardi Gras Crash Injures 28

New Orleans, LA. (WOLO) — A man remains behind bars Monday afternoon following a weekend crash law enforcement officials say injured dozens during Mardi Gras celebrations in Louisiana.

Authorities say 25 year old Neilson Rizzuto was driving the car that plowed into a crowd of revelers over the weekend injuring 28 people. Police say Rizzuto’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit during the time of his arrest.

Rizzuto now faces a slew of charges,  including first degree negligent vehicular injuring, hit and run,  and reckless operation of a vehicle.
