Newberry High student facing disciplinary action after bullet found at school
NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County deputies say a student may face criminal charges following a post falsely claiming school shootings were about to take place this week.
The student said they did not know this for certain and was sharing this based on what they had been told.
Deputies say that the student will face school discipline and possible criminal charges.
Meanwhile, a Newberry High School student will also possibly face criminal charges after a single bullet was found in the hallway on Wednesday.
No weapon was found and the student is facing school disciplinary action.
The Newberry School District says the safety of its staff and students remain its top priority.
