Funerals set for 2 SC crime spree victims
MANNING, S.C. (AP) — Two women authorities say were killed during a Clarendon County man’s crime spree are being laid to rest.
Separate funeral services are scheduled on Saturday for 81-year-old Sadie Brown and 65-year-old Maybell White.
Brown was reporting missing May 30, and her body was found several days later in a wooded area near her home. White was shot and killed May 30 at a recycling center in New Zion.
Authorities say 31-year-old Jeffrey Eady killed both women before driving to Charleston County, where he shot and killed 37-year-old Crystal Johnson as she worked at a convenience store there.
Eady was later arrested in Florida. He has been placed on suicide watch after trying to slit his wrist in jail.
