Lexington -Richland District Five hosts school board debate

Lexington Co., SC (WOLO) — Candidates for the school board with Lexington -Richland School District Five all vying for your vote, came out to Irmo Middle School Tuesday night for a debate held by d-5’s Teacher forum. A group who they say work to “Advocate, Advance, and Inspire good teachers to become great teachers.” And all of the hard work they do year round was on full display during the debate in which I was honored to be able to host as moderator.

On the November ticket, out of Richland County  Jason Baynham and Mike Ward. Out of Lexington County  incumbent Catherine Huddle, Ken Loveless and Scott Herring.
Each of the candidates answered randomly selected questions ranging from their positions on everything from book bans to school safety.

Teachers, students, and members of the community getting a chance to hear their platform and why they should get your vote come November 5th.
