Last full-size Kmart store closes

(CNN)– Attention K-mart shoppers, it is the end of an era.

The last full size K-mart in the mainland U.S. closed its doors for good on Sunday, October 20.

That store was located in Bridgehampton, New York.

All that is left is a smaller K-mart with limited items in Miami.

There are also a couple stores in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam.

The chain known for its “blue-light specials” started in the late 19 century and later claimed the discount segment of the market.
