Final job report before Election day released
(CNN)– The final job report before Election Day showed slower than expected growth in October with just 12 thousand jobs being added.
Economists had predicted last month’s hurricanes and labor strikes would impact the data and it did.
October’s numbers fell far below the expected gain of 112 thousand jobs.
The unemployment rate held steady however, at 4.1%.
Today’s jobs report is the last piece of economic data to be released before Election Day.
