Lexington Father Charged in 4-Year-Old Daugther’s Death

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)- A Lexington County man is now facing the same charge as his wife after the death of their four-year-old daughter.

Deputies say 24-year-old David Steadman is charged with homicide by child abuse.

Sheirff Jay Koon said Steadman arrived at his home July 31st to find his daughter restrained in her bed and gasping for air.

Koon said Steadman then waited for two hours before seeking medical attention. Steadman’s wife, Cynthia Estrada Lopez is also charged in the child’s death.
