COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)-

More than 100 animals found their forever homes in last weekend’s Clear the Shelters adoption special.

Columbia Animal Services would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Midlands community for the barking success.

“We truly are grateful to our community that wants to be a part of the solution and provide homes for these awesome pets”, Superintendent Marli Drum said.

When the front doors opened last Saturday, August 19, dozens of people were waiting in line to adopt a new pet.

When the doors closed 53 cats/kittens and 51 dogs/puppies had found new homes.
