SCDNR Crews Head to Florida
Columbia, SC (WOLO) — Nearly 30 wardens with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources are lending a helping hand in Florida in the wake of Hurricane Irma.
Crews deployed around 10 this morning to assist with Hurricane Irma search and rescue efforts that continue in the Sunshine State. The Game Warden officials chosen are experienced in searching in rural floodwaters and conducting patrols. Something needed now more than ever in the ravished area.
No word yet on how long members of SCDNR will remain in Florida, but officials say they plan to help in any capacity possible including, but not limited to search and rescue, door to dor checks and manpower assistance.
