Motorcyclist killed in collision on Garners Ferry Rd. Sunday

RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – South Carolina Highway Patrol says amotorcyclist is dead following a collision Sunday afternoon.

It happened at approximately 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Garners Ferry Road and South Carolina Road.

According to Corporal Nick Pye, a 2018 Ford Sedan was travelling west trying to turn left onto South Carolina Road, when a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling east struck the vehicle.

The motorcyclist died from their injuries while the Sedan driver wasn’t hurt.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office is working on identifying the victim.

Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
