Dozens infected aboard Royal Caribbean ship

(CNN)– A gastrointestinal illness has broken out on a Royal Caribbean ship this week.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly 100 passengers onboard the Radiance of the Seas have been affected by the outbreak.

Only two crew members have reported symptoms.

The CDC did not specify what type of gastrointestinal illness it is, but symptoms are mainly diarrhea and vomiting.

The CDC says Royal Caribbean has increased disinfection and cleaning measures and isolated sick guests and crew.

The cruise is scheduled to end on Saturday, Feb. 8.
