Lil Wayne Didn’t Perform at Colonial Life, Refunds on Hold

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Rapper Lil Wayne was at Colonial Life Arena as a part of the 2nd Annual Fall Ball. Unfortunately, as thousands of fans sat in their paid seats, he didn’t make it inside the building.

In a statement released early Sunday, CLA officials said Lil Wayne elected not to enter the building through the venue’s standard safety procedures. Since Wayne didn’t perform CLA announced that they will be giving refunds. Shortly after the promotion groups, Victory Promotions, Ben Hated, LLC, and MTS Entertainment said they will not be giving out refunds.

As a response, CLA sent out another statement saying refund will be put on hold:

“Colonial Life Arena received a letter today from the promoters of the 2nd Annual Fall Ball retracting their offer for ticket refunds. CLA disagrees with that decision. We are in discussions with the promoters and will continue to represent the interest of our patrons regarding refunds. However, a resolution will not be finalized by 10 a.m. tomorrow when refunds were scheduled to begin. As we continue to seek a positive outcome for our patrons, we ask for your patience and apologize for this inconvenience.”

Performers Cardi B, 2 Chaniz, and Tory Lanez did perform as scheduled.
