Midlands students recognized for teen mental health, substance abuse prevention advocacy efforts
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Students at two Midlands schools are being recognized for their efforts in advocating for teens’ mental health and substance abuse prevention.
Thursday morning, Feb. 20, the Lexington-Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council held a youth leadership summit at the Lexington District Two Performing Arts Center.
Officials say the kids are working to help promote clean and healthy living to their peers.
Today’s keynote speaker was Jared Scott, a nationally-renowned speaker, and youth mental health advocate.
