Sumter man arrested on drug and weapon charges

Sumter Co., S.C. (WOLO) — A Sumter man was arrested Thursday morning accused of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.

Authorities say at 6:45 A.M., went to the home of 27-year-old Thomas Ly’Keem Washington, IV along Thomas Drive where Sumter County deputies executed a search warrant. Officials say while searching the property authorities discovered and confiscated 142 grams of what deputy’s suspect was cocaine and guns.

Washington was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. At last check authorities said Thomas was awaiting a bond hearing to determine if he would be held in the jail or released.
