Atty General announces arrest of 2 men accused of Sexual Exploitation of Minors
West Columbia, SC (WOLO) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of two men accused in connection to the Sexual Exploitation of Minors.
Authorities say they received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which then led them 68 year old Timothy McCullough of West Columbia and 50 year old John Krayton of Lexington accused in two separate crimes.
Investigators with Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested the two men officials say both possessed files of child sexual abuse material. Authorities say McCullough was taken into custody February 26, 2025 and charged with five counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, third degree. He could face upwards of 10 years in prison on each count.
The second suspect, Kayton was also arrested on February 26, 2025 and charged with one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, third degree. Officials say he could face up to 10 years in prison on that one charge.
The Attorney General’s Office says they will be prosecuting both of these cases.
