Gambling machines seized in 2 SC cities

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) âone space€one space” Authorities have seized gambling machines from two places in South Carolina. On Thursday, officers removed a dozen gambling machines, two ledgers and more than $2,500 in cash from a Columbia home. Police say 64-year-old Herman Creech was arrested and charged with gambling/keeping gaming house. Three people inside the home were cited for allegedly playing the machines. Also Thursday, two gambling machines were seized from a Myrtle Beach laundromat. The owner of that business, 64-year-old Dennis McGrath, was charged with operating a gaming house. Officers said McGrath’s machines could toggle back and forth between legal and illegal games. Authorities also seized about $900 from the business. It wasn’t known if any of those charged had attorneys.
