SC price gouging law in effect

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– During emergencies like the weekend’s wildfires, some may take advantage by raising prices on items people need.

To combat price gouging, Attorney General Alan Wilson says the state’s price gouging law is in effect.

If you feel you are a victim of price gouging, note the time, place, address and name of the business, the price you paid, and any nearby prices.

You also need to take pictures of those businesses and provide your name and contact information.
