Tesla could be tariff target

(CNN)– Tesla says it could be impacted by retaliatory tariffs in response to trump’s tariff policy.

A letter to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer lays-out how it believes a trade war would hurt U.S. manufacturers and Tesla’s operations.

The company says U.S. trade policy needs to take into account “limitations in the domestic supply chain.”

In particular, Tesla notes EV’s and lithium-ion batteries, some items it says are hard to source in the U.S.
