Crews respond to house fire in Irmo

IRMO, SC (WOLO) — According to a Facebook post by Irmo Fire District, Irmo Fire crews with assistance from Columbia Fire, Lexington County Fire and West Columbia Fire were on scene of a structure fire in the 100 block of Shetford Road.

The structure was “well involved” when crews arrived on scene. They say there were no injuries to the residents and the house suffered substantial damage. Crews remained on scene for quite a while dousing hot spots.

The cause is currently under investigation.
