Columbia Fire battles Two-alarm condo fire

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)— Columbia Fire officials say three people were injured and taken to the hospital Saturday due to a two alarm fire.

According to Columbia Firefighters, they responded to a fire at the Briargate Condominiums off Broad River Road Saturday around 2:40pm.

Officials say twelve of the buildings 24 units were destroyed by fire, smoke or water damage.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries but are expected to be ok say officials.
The Richland County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
