Coroner identifies 20 year old shooting victim found on roadside in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG, SC (WOLO)– The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s office is investigating the shooting death of a 20 year old male, whose body was found by the roadside, on Saturday.
According to Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle, 20 year old O’Brian Grant, of Resort St. Santee, SC was pronounced dead on scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.
Claflin University says Grant was a student at the university and released the following statement below:

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said “This is a heinous crime against this young man, if you have any knowledge or information on this murder, we are urging you to please call us.”
Orangeburg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were notified around 10:30 a.m. Saturday of the deceased male.
According to deputies, Grant’s body was located on Legendary Drive after a caller notified 911.
