Columbia Police make arrest in shooting death of 22 year old: Her father speaks out

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The latest on a murder investigation in the City of Columbia: The father of the victim is speaking out.
Stephen Federico spoke briefly about the loss of his daughter, 22-year-old Logan Federico. Federico was found shot to death inside a Cypress Street home in Columbia Saturday.
She was on a weekend trip from Waxhaw, North Carolina, visiting friends.
Police arrested 30-year-old Alexander Dickey in connection with her death. Police say Dickey broke into a house, where Federico was staying, and stole credit and debit cards and then shot her.

Chief Skip Holbrook says Federico was not an intended target. She was shot in the chest, according to officials.

Police say the suspect left the scene and was later surrounded by Law Enforcement in Lexington County, police say Dickey set the house on fire but was arrested by police.
Logan Federico’s father spoke directly to the man accused of killing his daughter.
