Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands convenes to talk about challenges facing today’s girls

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Girl Scout leaders and local leaders met Thursday to discuss challenges facing today’s girls.
Girl Scouts from the Mountains to the Midlands hosted the event at the Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center.
Officials say research shows a troubling confidence gap among girls and increasing levels of stress, pressure, and anxiety.
Those we spoke with say action must be taken to help girls in South Carolina.

In a release, the Girl Scout organization says it is committed to tackling these challenges head-on by convening thought leaders to develop actionable solutions.
