Peruse gently-used books, CDs, DVDs at library’s seasonal book sale
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – With another season comes another Richland Library Friends book sale.
The system is hosting its Winter Book Sale, beginning Friday. Residents will have the opportunity to peruse tens of thousands of gently-used books, CDs and DVDs at the Richland Operations Center at 130 Lancewood Rd.
Library donors will get to shop on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A minimum, annual donation of $25 is required to attend, and donations can be made at the door.
The sale opens to the public Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Prices for paperbacks start at $1; hardback prices start at $2. From adults to children, there’s a wide range in genres available for readers.
The Richland Library Friends hosts four of these book sales each year. Combined, the events raise around $80,000. The money sustains programs and services that aren’t covered by Richland Library’s tax appropriation.
