45% need $100k to feel financially stable, according to survey

(CNN)– How much money would you need to earn to feel financially secure?

According to a new survey from Bankrate, 45% of Americans think they would need to make $100-thousand or more a year to “feel comfortable.”

A quarter of Americans say it would take $150-thousand or more.

On the flip side, 45% of Americans said they would feel financial freedom making less than six figures, 34% said they would feel comfortable making at least $50-thousand.

Overall, 77% of Americans said they did not feel “completely financially secure”.
