Solicitor Asks Judge to Reconsider Quinn Sentence
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–State Solicitor David Pascoe is appealing former State Representative Richard Quinn’s sentence on a misconduct in office charge.
According to documents filed afternoon, Solicitor Pascoe is asking the judge to reconsider because of what he calls the court’s failure to interpret the facts prior to Quinn’s guilty plea.
On Monday Quinn was sentenced to two years of probation and 500 hours of community service after previously pleading guilty to misconduct in office.
According to the indictment Quinn was accused of taking $4 million in unreported money from lobbyists.
Quinn told ABC Columbia’s Gabrielle Franklin Thursday that he was only guilty of not reporting the University of South Carolina as a client.
